We will cover Chapters 6 thru 8 in Fr. Michael Casey’s book: Living in the Truth. These chapters deal with the subjects of doing God’s will, patience, and spiritual self-disclosure. Each of these areas call for living out a form of humbling oneself–letting go of one’s ego in particular circumstances–in order to grow into greater and more authentic freedom. Please read the chapters to prepare for our discussion as we seek to understand the challenge of self-emptying, as part of God’s process to call us into a deeper transformation in Christ.
Last month we had a great discussion, but perhaps did not have the opportunity to spend quite as much time on Chapter 5 as the others, which dealt with the topic if Seriousness.
